All of 100Green’s dual fuel energy tariffs receive Gold standard Green Accreditation from Uswitch, the price comparison and switching service
100Green, the only energy supplier in the UK that supplies its customers with 100% green gas and renewable electricity, has received Uswitch’s Gold standard Green Accreditation for five energy tariffs.
In addition Uswitch awarded 100Green with a Green Commendation for outstanding contribution, demonstrating their commitment to supplying solely 100% green energy to all their customers.
Founded in 2001, 100Green has championed the supply of green energy to homes and businesses across the country, long before the climate emergency was called and Net Zero targets were set. 100Green has received Gold standard accreditation for these available tariffs:
- Sparkling (fix and standard variable tariffs);
- EKO – 100Green’s “super-green” tariff. The EKO tariff adheres to additional sustainability criteria such as protecting bird and fish migration paths;
- Tide (standard variable, time of use tariff) – for customers with a smart meter, ideal for customers who have home generation and storage;
- Spring 24 month fix, which is a Uswitch exclusive.
In their response to 100Green’s submission, the Uswitch panel commended 100Green’s commitment to sustainability through fully renewable energy solutions for its customers: “as the only domestic supplier to offer 100% green gas, 100Green demonstrates a dedication to making green energy accessible and impactful for everyone”. It is the second time that Uswitch has recognized 100Green’s credentials with a Gold standard accreditation.
Uswitch’s criteria for 100Green’s gold dual-fuel accreditation included: 100% of electricity bought from renewable generators via Power Purchase Agreements, at least 10% green gas supplied to customers (100Green supplies 100% green gas) and evidence of the work to advance customers’ Net Zero transition.
